Mapping UML to C

Reference: DE-06
Duration: 2 Day(s)

Description

The step from UML to implementation can be daunting, especially if your chosen toolset does not generate the required language. With C, the problem is compounded by the fact that it is not an object-oriented language. This course has been designed to bridge that chasm and teach how the UML notation maps to C.

This course encompasses many practical exercises and delegates will learn how the most complex UML notation can be easily realised in code. Starting from the most basic elements such as classes then moving to more complex elements such as template classes, delegates will generate executable software to reinforce the lessons learned.

This course is recommended for developers who have exposure to UML and need to understand how UML entities are realised in a programming language.

Content

  • An Introduction to UML
  • How to Implement Objects and Classes in C
  • How to Implement Inheritance in C
  • How to Implement Polymorphism in C
  • How to Implement Associations in C
  • How to Implement Reuse in C
  • How to Implement Concurrency in C
  • How to Implement Deployment in C

Who should attend
